With extensive clinical experience and a strong commitment to patient-centred care, Dr. Biktor brings valuable expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of a wide range of health conditions.

Dr. Biktor has worked across diverse healthcare settings and is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality medical care for individuals and families of all ages.

We are excited to have Dr. Biktor join our practice and look forward to the excellent care they will provide to our community.

Dr Attiaf Selman

Graduated from Baghdad University Medical School in 1990. Migrated to New Zealand in 1996. Obtained Diploma in Obstetrics from Otago University in 2001.

Completed membership of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners in 2007.

Moved to Australia and became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2011. Worked as a General Practitioner in Australia since 2008.

Areas of interest include General Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and paediatrics however I am comfortable to manage all aspects of general practice..

Dr Thamir Karam

MBChB, FRACGP

General Practitioner

Dr Thamir Karam has over 25 years of medical experience in Australia with a big interest in women’s health, dermatology and skin cancer management, chronic diseases in addition to general family practice.

Dr Karam is highly skilled in minor procedures such as IUD insertion, skin lesion excisions, and other women’s health services. Dr. Karam is committed to providing exceptional care and is excited to join us and serve our community.

Dr Karam speaks English and Arabic.

Dr Ashraf Gad

MBChB, LMCC, AMC

Dr Ashraf Gad is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners with over 24 years of medical experience.

He graduated in Egypt, where he worked for 10 years, then immigrated to Canada where he obtained his degree. He has been in Australia since 2012, where he spent 6 years practicing as a GP in Western Australia, then relocated to live in Queensland since 2018.

He has special interests in Chronic Disease Management, Men’s Health, Paediatrics and Diabetes Management.

Leisa Doherty (Psychologist)

We are thrilled to welcome our new psychologist, Leisa Doherty, who brings over seven years of diverse experience in mental health, working across disability, forensic, and private practice settings.

Leisa really enjoys supporting teenagers, adults, and couples through various challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodiversity, relationship, work, study, and parenting stresses.

Leisa’s therapeutic approach is client-centred and integrative, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Walk & Talk Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT).

She is passionate about fostering growth and resilience and is dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s complexities and achieve meaningful change.

Credentialed Eating Disorder Dietitian

Alana is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and graduated from her Masters of Dietetics Studies at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. She loves being a dietitian and guiding patients to develop and maintain healthy eating behaviours and positive relationships with food. She is passionate about empowering vulnerable people, and is committed to creating and adding to systems and networks that support this.

Alana is passionate about:

  • Promoting quality of life through food
  • Creating realistic, meaningful goals and interventions to match
  • Keeping it simple and straightforward
